That passion led me to medical school and the United States Army, where I proudly served our nation’s sons and daughters as a general surgeon, colorectal surgeon, healthcare executive, and ultimately as the Director of the Defense Health Agency.

Now, as Regional President & CEO of Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center, I’m proud to be a part of an organization whose mission is predicated on making a positive impact on the lives and health of people in the community.
