Melisa Goss

Melisa Goss is the assistant editor of the Tri-State Neighbor, an agriculturally focused newspaper covering South Dakota, Minnesota, and northwest Iowa. Her passion centers on telling agriculture’s stories in order to build bridges between the ag world and those with little to no ag background. Melisa’s love of travel has allowed her to see the vital impact of agriculture around the world: from rice paddies in southeast Asia to rye fields in Scandinavia and several places in between. In addition to her editorial duties, Melisa is also an English composition adjunct professor at her undergraduate alma mater, the University of Sioux Falls, where she obtained a degree in theology/philosophy. Following USF, she obtained a master’s degree in journalism from SDSU. She lives in Hartford with her husband, Kenny Farke, and her two children, Hazel and Simon.
