Willie is a Process Engineer with POET where he works every day to generate demand for farmers and create quality products from renewable resources. In his role, he designs and optimizes processes to utilize ag-based feedstocks and turn them into plant-based alternatives to petrochemicals. Willie grew up near Mount Vernon and joins his brother in farming 250 acres of alfalfa near Forestburg. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Environmental Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
