Heather Niederwerder
Heather Niederwerder lives near Hereford, South Dakota with her husband Marty. Together, they have been involved in a cow-calf operation, haying, and a trucking business primarily hauling livestock, hay, and gravel. Heather and Marty have been blessed to raise their three (now grown) daughters in a rural setting that teaches so many important lessons. They now enjoy the many activities and interests of their five grandchildren.
Heather has a deep love of agriculture and a commitment to this way of life. This is evident through her job as an Insurance Officer – Business Development with Farm Credit Services of America, which allows her to assist producers with their risk management strategies and protection. Becoming a member of our SDARL Class X (Class of Xcellence) and the current board chair fits well with her desire to advocate for agriculture and rural communities.
Heather also volunteers as a board member of the New Underwood Area Community Foundation and teaches preschool at her church. She has a heart for those in need and often executes meal trains and benefits.
